Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central and Vestavia Hills squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since April 8th.

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 30-18. As for Vestavia Hills, their win bumped their record up to 36-7.

Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Daphne on the 21st. As for Vestavia Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Austin on the 20th.
