Basketball Recap: Citrus Valley Comes Up Short

Citrus Valley lost against Cajon on January 14th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Citrus Valley Blackhawks were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Cajon Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 754th, while the Cowboys are ranked 362nd).

Citrus Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Cajon, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Citrus Valley will take on Redlands East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Citrus Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Cajon has already played their next game (against Yucaipa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
