Basketball Recap: West Lyon's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Sheldon on Friday, West Lyon came back down to earth. The West Lyon Wildcats fell just short of the Kuemper Knights by a score of 81-78 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (70), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

West Lyon's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2. As for Kuemper, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

West Lyon is taking a road trip to square off against MOC-Floyd Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. MOC-Floyd Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully West Lyon likes a good challenge. As for Kuemper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harlan at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
