Basketball Game Preview: Homestead Mustangs vs. Los Altos Eagles

The Homestead Mustangs will take on the Los Altos Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Homestead will be strutting in after a victory while Los Altos will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Homestead sidestepped Fremont for a 50-48 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Firebirds: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Los Altos came up short against Woodside on Monday and fell 45-35. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Los Altos dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Homestead, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Homestead beat Los Altos 51-41 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
