California Academy of Math & Science has gone a perfect 6-0 against Vistamar recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Coyotes will head out to challenge the Vikings at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, California Academy of Math & Science didn't have enough. They came up short against Wildwood on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost four in a row.

While California Academy of Math & Science ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Vistamar was not able to break out of their rough patch back in March as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Hawthorne Math & Science Academy.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 20-25, 25-13.

Vistamar's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for California Academy of Math & Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

California Academy of Math & Science was able to grind out a solid win over Vistamar in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
