Basketball Recap: Jeffersontown Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Jeffersontown waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victor by a 79-58 margin over the Western Warriors. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Warriors are ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jeffersontown pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points over those games. As for Western, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
