Football Recap: Scott Highlanders vs. Austin-East Roadrunners
After soaring to 42 points the game before, Scott was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They lost 30-7 to the Austin-East Roadrunners. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 60-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Austin-East had a senior duo take command as Michael Gladney rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry and Dimere Ligon rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns.
Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Austin-East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-7.
