Volleyball Game Preview: Central Spartans vs. Imperial Tigers + How To Watch

Central is 0-10 against Imperial since September of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Spartans will face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Central didn't have quite enough to beat Holtville and fell 3-2. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 25-19 in the first set.

Central took Holtville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-16, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Imperial didn't have quite enough to beat Foothills Christian on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Central's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-13. As for Imperial, their loss dropped their record down to 17-15.

Central might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Imperial in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
