Teutopolis has gone 9-1 against Richland County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wooden Shoes will welcome the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Teutopolis will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Teutopolis barely beat Altamont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wooden Shoes never let the Indians get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Monday. The Wooden Shoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Richland County took on Farina South Central on Wednesday. The Tigers took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Tigers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Gavin Root made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Wenger, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Teutopolis' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Richland County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13-1.

Teutopolis beat Richland County 6-3 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Wooden Shoes repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
