Converse came into Thursday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Oak Hill Rams by a score of 4-1 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Mavrick Mitchell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Converse saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Durr, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Converse's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Oak Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Converse will face off against Loyola College Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oak Hill, they will take on Grant at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
