Softball Recap: LEAP Academy Comes Up Short

LEAP Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pennsauken Tech, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lancers fell just short of Pennsauken Tech by a score of 14-12 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

LEAP Academy got a massive performance out of W Diaz, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one double. C Murray was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

LEAP Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-27 record this season. As for Pennsauken Tech, they pushed their record up to 8-13 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, LEAP Academy will challenge Mastery at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pennsauken Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
