Volleyball Recap: Parkland Trojans vs. Allentown Central Catholic Vikings

After flying high against Emmaus last Saturday, Parkland came back down to earth. The Parkland Trojans fell 3-1 to the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Parkland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Parkland still got an impressive performance from Izzy Fekula, who had 34 digs. Fekula is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Parkland moved to 19-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Allentown Central Catholic, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 20-0-1.
