Soccer Game Preview: Statesville vs. North Iredell + How To Watch

Statesville hasn't had much luck against North Iredell recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Greyhounds will look to defend their home pitch against the Raiders at 6:30 p.m.

Statesville fell victim to Lake Norman and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Statesville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Lake Norman are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Iredell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Davie County 2-1 on Thursday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but North Iredell were the better team in the second half.

Statesville now has a losing record of 7-8-5. As for North Iredell, they now have a winning record of 8-7-3.
