            Basketball Recap: Boerne-Champion Chargers vs. Wagner Thunderbirds        
        
		
        
        
            If Boerne-Champion was riding high  fresh off their  76-33 takedown of Lytle last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Boerne-Champion Chargers took  a  72-56 bruising from the Wagner Thunderbirds on Tuesday. The Chargers were not able to make up for their  loss to the Thunderbirds from their previous meeting  back in February of 2024.
  Trevaun Clark was a one-man wrecking crew for Wagner as he  dropped  a double-double on 30 points and 14  rebounds. Those 30 points gave  Clark a new career-high.  Marcus Johnson was another key player,  putting up six  points along with eight  assists and three  steals.

With the  defeat, Boerne-Champion broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-5. As for Wagner, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 14 of their last 17 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record  this season.
 Boerne-Champion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  73-49  victory against Tivy on the 3rd. Wagner has also  already played their next contest,  a  67-58  loss against Alamo Heights on the 3rd.
