Basketball Recap: Deerfield-Windsor Makes It Nine in a Row on the Road

Deerfield-Windsor waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the John Milledge Academy Trojans by a score of 49-36. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Trojans are ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why John Milledge Academy lost, don't look at Isaiah Johnson. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce McDonel, who put up eight points and nine rebounds.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for John Milledge Academy, their record now sits at 5-8.
