University Christian's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Salem Baptist Christian Vikings out 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Barracudas as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
In the three sets University Christian was on fire: they won each by at least nine points. After all that action, the final score was 25-14, 21-25, 25-16, 26-28, 15-5.
University Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 33 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2023.
University Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hickory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they will square off against Statesville Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
