Softball Recap: Tanque Verde Hawks vs. San Tan Foothills Sabercats

Tanque Verde can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. Everything went their way against the San Tan Foothills Sabercats as the Tanque Verde Hawks made off with a 27-2 victory. The win was just what Tanque Verde needed coming off of a 12-2 defeat in their prior match.

Caylee Waters was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Waters was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paige Hammarstrom, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with a home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Camila Canchola, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.
