Basketball Recap: Zion Mcfadden Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Hopkins

Boles hadn't done well against North Hopkins recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Boles Hornets managed a 50-44 victory over the North Hopkins Panthers. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 69-47 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Boles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zion Mcfadden, who posted eight points in addition to 11 rebounds and eight assists. That's the most boards Mcfadden has posted since back in November of 2024. Jeremiah King was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Boles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Boles now has a winning record of 13-12. As for North Hopkins, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-13.

Boles will face off against Yantis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Boles is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season. As for North Hopkins, they will square off against Cooper at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cooper's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
