Volleyball Game Preview: Etowah Eagles vs. Hillgrove Hawks + Official Tickets

The Etowah Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Hillgrove Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Etowah will be strutting in after a victory while Hillgrove will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Etowah earned a 3-1 win over North Paulding.

Meanwhile, Hillgrove unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to Harrison.

Etowah will need to focus on slowing down Nasreen Zelaya-Salimi, one of several Hillgrove players who made an impact when they last played. She had ten digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Josalyn Bettis, who had eight digs and seven assists.

Etowah is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. As for Hillgrove, they now have a losing record of 17-18.

Etowah skirted past Hillgrove 2-1 in their previous matchup back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
