Meanwhile, Charleston Catholic faced Parkersburg South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Irish walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Irish.

Charleston Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Buffalo, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-7.
