Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Comes Up Short

After flying high against Summit Academy last Monday, St. Joseph came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the Rochester Rams on Tuesday, falling 11-2. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Rams when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Joseph saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Schiano Di Cola, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

St. Joseph dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rochester, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

While St. Joseph had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
