            Baseball Recap: Fairfield Falcons vs. Norwell Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Norwell hit Fairfield with a 12-run first inning  on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons came up short against  the Knights, falling  17-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Falcons have suffered  since April 29th.
 Fairfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Drew Beachy, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run.
This is the second loss in a row for Fairfield and  nudges their season record down to 18-8. As for Norwell,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 15-11.
 The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Fairfield will challenge Wawasee at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.73  runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Norwell, they will square off against New Haven at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
