Basketball Recap: Ocoee Wins Going Away Against Horizon

There's no place like home for Ocoee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 84-62 margin over the Horizon Hawks on Wednesday. That 22 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Despite the loss, Horizon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Diego Rojas went 7 for 15 on his way to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Stein, who posted five points.

Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Horizon, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Ocoee will venture away from home to face off against Worth County at 4:00 p.m. on December 26th. As for Horizon, they will welcome Dr. Phillips at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
