Soccer Game Preview: Franklin County vs. Greene County

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin County duke it out with Greene County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin County will be strutting in after a victory while Greene County will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Franklin County turned things around against Prince Avenue Christian on Friday. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 4-2. Franklin County's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Meanwhile, Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Lincoln County. That's two games in a row now that Greene County have lost by exactly three goals.

Franklin County's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Greene County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-8.

Franklin County took their victory against Greene County when the teams last played back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Franklin County repeat their success, or does Greene County has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
