Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask George Wythe). They walked away with a 74-67 win over the Bland County Bears on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Maroons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Bland County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tinley Worley, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave Worley a new career-high. Danielle Sanders was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 20 rebounds.

George Wythe pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for Bland County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6.
