Volleyball Preview: Richland Rebels vs. Dexter Bearcats
Richland hasn't had much luck against Dexter recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Richland Rebels will be staying on the road to face off against the Dexter Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Richland was able to grind out a solid victory over Cairo, taking the game 2-0.
The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Richland was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14.
Poplar Bluff typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Dexter proved too difficult a challenge. Everything went their way against the Mules as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on three straight.
The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-16.
Dexter can attribute much of their success to Avery Riley, who had 19 digs.
Richland's record is now 5-10. As for Dexter, they pushed their record up to 19-3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
