Soccer Recap: Meridian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Meridian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Philadelphia Tornadoes 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Meridian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-11. As for Philadelphia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

After both having extra time off, Meridian and Oak Grove will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Philadelphia, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mississippi School for Mathematics & Science at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
