Volleyball Game Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Marietta Tigers

The Eastern Eagles will challenge the Marietta Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

If Federal Hocking wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eastern, they should've done a better job of containing Emeri Lloyd. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lancers on Thursday thanks in part to Lloyd, who had 19 digs and six aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Eastern walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Marietta was able to grind out a solid victory over Southern on Monday, taking the game 3-1.

Marietta was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 21-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Marietta's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Eastern, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
