Courtney Merlo leads Fairport to victory over Fayetteville-Manlius

Recap: Fairport Red Raiders vs. Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Fairport Red Raiders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 54-46 victory over Fayetteville-Manlius.
Fairport can attribute much of their success to Courtney Merlo, who scored 19 points. Lola Pucci was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The win got Fairport back to even at 1-1. As for Fayetteville-Manlius, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Fairport will head out on the road to face off against Victor at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fayetteville-Manlius will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cicero-North Syracuse at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
