Soccer Recap: Gretna East Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Hastings

Gretna East faced Hastings in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Griffins fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hastings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Gretna East and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Hastings, the win keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.

Coincidentally, Gretna East and Hastings will both be playing Bennington the next time they take the pitch. The Tigers will host the Badgers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Griffins will host them at 7:00 p.m. on April 29.
