Soccer Game Preview: Sumter County vs. Spencer

The Sumter County Panthers will square off against the Spencer Greenwave at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sumter County's offense. They came up short against Shaw on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Spencer unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to Jordan on Monday. Spencer fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Red Jackets since on Monday.
