Volleyball Recap: Buchholz Bobcats vs. The Rock Lions

Buchholz proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past The Rock Lions 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Lions on September 4th, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-105) Buchholz actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 17-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Buchholz found their leader in sophomore Izzy Carter, who had 22 digs and two aces. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Carter. Another player making a difference was Lily Vaillancourt, who had 20 digs.
