The Smithville Braves will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Talihina Golden Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Smithville fell victim to Panama and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Razorbacks, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Talihina made easy work of Heavener on Thursday and carried off a 12-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Tigers.

Kaden Cossey and Cy Ammons were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Cossey tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Meanwhile, Ammons pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Gramlich, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Talihina always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heavener only posted an OBP of .421.
