Marlboro Central never let their opponents score on Saturday. They breezed past the Liberty Redhawks to the tune of 46-0. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for the Dukes this season.

Marlboro Central can attribute much of their success to Devin Robertson, who rushed for 15 yards and one TD, and also threw for 87 yards and one touchdown on only eight passes. The dominant performance also gave Robertson a new career-high in passer rating (139.1). Amar'e Lane was in the mix too, providing Marlboro Central with one score.

Marlboro Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Daylon McKenzie, Nate Armstrong, and Caleb Sullivan picked up one apiece. Armstrong is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Marlboro Central received some extra help from Lane, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Marlboro Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.0 points on average over those games. As for Liberty, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlboro Central will head out to square off against New Paltz at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Spackenkill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Redhawks will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.71 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
