Volleyball Preview: Mundelein Mustangs vs. Grant Community Bulldogs
Mundelein and Grant Community are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Mundelein Mustangs are on the road again on Monday to play the Grant Community Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Mundelein will be strutting in after a win while Grant Community will be coming in after a loss.
Last Wednesday, Mundelein was able to grind out a solid victory over Waukegan, taking the game 2-0.
The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mundelein was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15.
Meanwhile, Grant Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Dunlap.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10.
Mundelein has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season. As for Grant Community, their loss dropped their record down to 9-22.
