Volleyball Recap: Clearfield Falcons vs. Springville Red Devils
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Clearfield had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Springville Red Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
Clearfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-16.
Bailey Hoover paced Clearfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Hoover got some help from
Madison Yeager and her 31 assists. Hoover was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Clearfield is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.
