Football Preview: Kellogg Wildcats vs. North Fremont Huskies
The Kellogg Wildcats will head out to take on the North Fremont Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Kellogg can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home two weeks ago. They were outmatched by Moscow on the road and fell 43-0.
Meanwhile, North Fremont gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 16-0 win over Bear Lake.
Andrew Martin was a one-man wrecking crew for North Fremont as he rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Martin got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible61 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Fremont's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Owen Reid and Cameron Shuldberg who racked up four sacks between them. Shuldberg also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks and making four total tackles.
Kellogg took a serious blow against North Fremont in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, falling 48-12. Can Kellogg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
