Basketball Game Recap: Baxter Springs Lions vs. Southeast Lancers

Baxter Springs lost against Southeast last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Baxter Springs Lions might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 58-50 to the Southeast Lancers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southeast's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Warner, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Warner is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Blake Robinson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 2-7-1. As for Southeast, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Baxter Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverton on January 31st. As for Southeast, they will face off against Parsons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southeast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season.
