Basketball Recap: North Vermilion Takes a Loss

North Vermilion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 54-39 bruising from the Comeaux Spartans. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 49-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Vermilion's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Comeaux, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-19.

North Vermilion and Comeaux could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. North Vermilion (ranked 198th) will meet David Thibodaux (ranked 22nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Comeaux will challenge Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 230 places (267 vs. 37).
