Baseball Recap: Houston Takes a Loss

Houston lost against Southland back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hurricanes came up short against the Rebels, falling 14-2. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Southland, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Houston is set to square off against their familiar foe Mabel-Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southland will challenge rival Lyle/Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rebels 4.1, the Athletics 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
