Football Game Preview: Arbor View Aggies vs. Amplus Academy Archers

The Arbor View Aggies will head out to challenge the Amplus Academy Archers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Amplus Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Arbor View, who comes in off a win.

Arbor View is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Durango to the tune of 58-12 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Aggies, who have now won eight matches by 23 points or more so far this season.

Priscilla Garcia continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 345 yards and six touchdowns while completing 85% of her passes. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in passing yards.

Arbor View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Karah Foss and Vega Monreal.

Meanwhile, Amplus Academy played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 26-6 to Clark. The loss continues a trend for the Archers in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost three in a row.

Arbor View pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points per game. As for Amplus Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything came up roses for Arbor View against Amplus Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arbor View since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
