Recap: Alhambra Moors vs. San Gabriel Matadors
The Alhambra Moors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The contest between Alhambra and San Gabriel wasn't particularly close, with Alhambra falling 21-3. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alhambra in their matchups with San Gabriel: they've now lost four in a row.
Bryan Leonard threw for 31 yards on seven of 12 attempts. On the ground, Julian Venegas Khavari rushed for 36 yards.
Alhambra's defeat was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Schurr and 9-1 South Pasadena (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 74.2% over those games). As for San Gabriel, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Alhambra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Gabriel also has no future games currently scheduled.
