Softball Game Preview: Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns vs. Livingston Lions

The Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns will square off against the Livingston Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Hamshire-Fannett didn't have quite enough to beat Hargrave and fell 5-4. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hamshire-Fannett saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Gallier, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Brooke Mayer was another, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Livingston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Tarkington with a sharp 11-1 victory on Saturday. Considering the Lions have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Livingston has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. Hamshire-Fannett's loss dropped their record down to 14-13-2.
