Burns waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. Everything went their way against the McLoughlin Pioneers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Hilanders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-17, 25-6.

Bailey Temple was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs and two aces. Natalee Otley-Smith also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Burns was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 24-1. As for McLoughlin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Burns will be playing in front of their home fans against Grant Union at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McLoughlin, they will head out on the road to square off against Umatilla at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
