Football Recap: Concordia Prep Takes a Loss

Concordia Prep suffered their closest defeat since September 28, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of St. Mary by a score of 12-10. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Even if they lost, Concordia Prep's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kayden Deville, Tyler Hamilton, and Colin Wilson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Tyler Hopp got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Concordia Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Mary's, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Concordia Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Mount St. Joseph on the 20th. As for St. Mary's, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Gilman on the 19th.
