Volleyball Recap: Notus Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Notus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Liberty Charter Patriots, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Notus ultimately came up short, they really made Liberty Charter work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 26-24.

Lauren Nelson paced Notus' offense, picking up three kills. Nelson got some help from Kendall Woodland and her five assists. Finally, Baylee Clelland and Natalie Fogg kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Notus' loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Liberty Charter, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-12.

Notus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Idaho City on the 6th. As for Liberty Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against North Star on the 6th.
