Basketball Game Preview: La Salle Lancers vs. Turpin Spartans

The La Salle Lancers will venture away from home to face off against the Turpin Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Salle will be strutting in after a win while Turpin will be coming in after a loss.

La Salle can't be too worried about heading out to take on Turpin: they just beat Elder at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. La Salle walked away with a 53-43 victory over Elder on Friday.

Meanwhile, Turpin came up short against Loveland on Friday and fell 70-61. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

La Salle's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 11-9. As for Turpin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

La Salle strolled past Turpin when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 66-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Salle since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
