Baseball Recap: Bodine Starts Season with Victory Against Overbrook

Bodine gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over the Overbrook Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bodine also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Quadir Mosley, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Brandon Scull, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Bodine is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. This will be Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Overbrook, they will face off against Saul at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Overbrook is coming into the matchup on a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.
