Aztec took down Durango on Thursday, a win that might not have happened without Cadin Anderson's standout effort. Nobody could stop Anderson as he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Aztec Tigers challenge Montezuma-Cortez Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Montezuma-Cortez will enter the matchup having just beaten Valencia, so Aztec will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
