Basketball Recap: Torrington Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cornerstone Christian last Monday, Torrington Christian Academy came back down to earth. Torrington Christian Academy were dealt a 48-13 loss at the hands of Emmanuel Christian Academy on Tuesday. Torrington Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Emmanuel Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Torrington Christian Academy got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Alexa Johnston and Annie Mavern, who each put up four points. Bonita Lilley took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Torrington Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Torrington Christian Academy will challenge Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Emmanuel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
